Manic D Press is an American literary press based in San Francisco, California publishing fiction poetry, cultural studies, art, narrative-oriented comix, children’s books, and alternative travel trade paperbacks. It was founded by Jennifer Joseph in 1984 as an alternative outlet for young writers seeking to bring their work into print.

justin-chinJustin Chin Selected Works with Guest Artists
As a queer Asian American, born and raised in Southeast Asia within a devoutly Christian, ethnically Chinese family of medical professionals, Chin’s early life experience informed his writing and framed his point of view. In his literary works, the seemingly conflicted duality of existence is paramount: sacred and profane, saints and sinners, health and illness, hope and despair, life and death. His works also explore his experience of living with HIV, which progressed into AIDS in his final years.

Lit Crawl is a great way to experience the vitality and community of our wonderful Mission District neighborhood and support local artists and businesses. We hope to see you on October 15th with Manic D press from 6 -7 pm @ Harrington Galleries
